Before you start installing MinecraftEdu, make sure you have Oracle Java 6 release 45 or later installed.
Please note that some users experience issues playing Minecraft while using a mismatched version of Java for their operating system (32 or 64 bit), while using certain versions of Java 7, or while multiple versions of Java are installed.
Hardware system requirements can be found here. Please note that workstations that will function as the server are recommended to have greater than the minimum system requirements.
When you have purchased MinecraftEdu, you can download the installer from MinecraftEdu website. The same MinecraftEdu installer is used to install software on all computers. Client installation only is suggested for student workstations. For computers where you would like to install the Server, you will also need to select “MinecraftEdu Server” to be installed in the installation process.
You can either download the installer to every computer separately, or download once and transfer it to the other computers with a usb stick or other remote installation method.
